Although the Azores are considered an advanced dive destination due to frequent currents and depths, there are some easy dive sites for beginners, or for those who wish to become a diver! Please refer to our dive courses page if you wish to get certified or advance your dive skills with us!
We also offer a variety of tailor-made packages for families or groups. Please contact us for more information.
Haven’t dived for a while?

Each diver/buddy team will be required to have the following minimum safety equipment on each dive: whistle or air horn and a SMB. A dive light and a chemical light stick or mini Strobe is required for all night dives. Limited quantities of these items are available for rent at our dive centre.

Safety in diving is our top priority. Properly trained and experienced instructors and dive guides will lead you in the water on every dive, helping you identify fish and showing you the most beautiful underwater scenarios. At Dive Azores we always plan multilevel profiles and dive conservatively within non-decompression limits. Groups are normally limited to a maximum of 5-6 divers per dive guide and we do our best to match divers with the same level of experience. A detailed briefing is made prior to each dive and our crew will help you into your gear when the boat gets on site.

All divers must have valid dive insurance to provide coverage in the event of an accident.
There is an hyperbaric chamber in Horta’s Hospital.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance with obtaining dive insurance.
